OFOTO A guide to photographic printing

Frame Lab

Print size, mount, frame and wall in combination, to scale. Your photograph stays on your device: only your browser processes it, and it is not uploaded or stored anywhere.

Checked 12 October 2026. Runs only in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere.

Original addressThe Slovak version of this tool sits at the address where the print lab that originally ran on ofoto.sk once had its online photo-frame configurator. Today’s Frame Lab is an independent visualisation tool: nothing is ordered or sold here.

The preview is approximate: screen colours, the paper surface and the actual frame finish differ from reality. The wall scale adapts to the size of the picture; the bar at bottom left shows 50 cm. Mount and frame dimensions are covered in the article Mounts.

How to use Frame Lab

  1. Upload a photograph with the button under “Your own photograph”, or use a sample.
  2. Choose the aspect ratio of the print. If it differs from the photograph, use the sliders to set which part is kept.
  3. Set the longer side of the image, the mount width and the frame moulding. The outer size is recalculated below the preview.
  4. Try a few wall colours. A dark wall brings out a white mount; a light wall brings out a dark frame.

Privacy

The file you choose is not uploaded to a server. Your browser creates a temporary local address for it (an object URL), which exists only in this tab and disappears when you close it or choose another file. We use no cookies and no browser storage.

Mount dimensions are explained in Mounts, frame materials and glazing in Frames and glazing.
