The manufacturer

FOMEI s.r.o. is based in Hradec Králové in the Czech Republic and operates in Slovakia through FOMEI Slovakia s.r.o. Besides photo papers and canvases it also makes lighting for photography and film. When it introduced Jazz Art 310 paper in spring 2020, the company said it was marking the thirtieth anniversary of its founding.

FOMEI also offers Hahnemühle media on its website, so the two brands often appear together in print studios’ lists, as they did on the original OFOTO website.

Four media ranges

The manufacturer states compatibility with Canon, EPSON and HP inkjet printers using either dye or pigment inks.

FOMEI states that Jazz Art 310 received a certificate from the Czech Metrology Institute (Český metrologický institut) for an ageing test and is part of the ART CERTIFIED MEDIA series.

For finishing, the catalogue recommends stretching the canvases on a frame, and varnishing the satin and matt ones as well.

• Matt Fine Art paper: the cotton papers in the ART range. The number in the name is the weight.
• Satin cotton paper: Jazz Art 310 combines a cotton base with a semi-matt surface.
• Black-and-white printing: the baryta papers in the ART range.
• Album prints, portfolios: the PHOTO range.
• Large prints on stretcher bars: the CANVAS range.
